We all want the best for our kids.
We want them to grow to be happy, healthy, responsible, independent individuals.
Navigating today's world has its challenges, especially for our kids. The consumption of media is at an all time high and the pressures of packed schedules, school testing and stressed out adults can take a toll.
We can help our kids navigate this and thrive.
At ChildBlossom, we bring movement, mindfulness and social and emotional learning practices to kids and teens through group and private sessions, videos and working with teachers and parents.
Movement
Movement heals, stimulates and regenerates our bodies and brains. Physical activity is essential for kids as it not only helps them tune into their bodies, it promotes physical health and helps their brains to focus so they can learn. One of the simplest, most beneficial forms of physical activity is yoga, which is why it is the focus of my programs. Yoga is accessible to kids of all ability levels and can be done anywhere. Yoga increases physical strength, coordination and flexibility, balances energy level and mood all while improving kids’ focus and attention.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is paying attention to what is happening in the present moment and bringing awareness to your experience. Kids need simple mindfulness practices now more than ever. An overwhelming amount of kids are disconnected from themselves due to hours spent sitting, often in front of a screen. Simple and fun mindfulness exercises can help kids reconnect with their bodies and brains resulting in self-awareness, self-regulation, compassion, confidence and empathy for others. It also assists kids to release stress and anxiety while improving their ability to focus.
Social and Emotional Learning
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process of understanding and managing emotions, maintaining good relationships and making responsible decisions. Through the implementation of movement and mindfulness students are inherently practicing and strengthening their SEL muscles.
